Rhinebeck Crafts Festival
This is Fawn's first time participating in this show!
Two-hundred of America’s best independent artists and craftspeople are coming together in the heart of the beautiful Hudson Valley for the fifth annual Rhinebeck Crafts Festival, June 24th and 25th. This diverse experience is a celebration of all things handmade which includes: unique contemporary craft and art, gourmet specialty foods, tastings from Hudson Valley distilleries and wineries, interactive craft demonstrations and exciting family activities.
This festive two-day event draws passionate, arts conscious visitors from the Hudson Valley as well as tourists from the Tri-State area and beyond to partake in adventurous shopping and meet jury-selected, modern American makers. This is a destination event not to miss!
Fine artists and craftspeople will be traveling from over 25 states to exhibit and sell their one-of-a-kind creations. These exceptional indie artists infuse each of their pieces with a distinctive creative vision with one-of-a-kind and limited edition: jewelry; apparel and accessories; furniture and home décor pieces; functional and sculptural works in ceramics, glass, metal, wood and mixed media; fine art painting, printmaking, drawing and photography. Visitors should make sure to plan to visit the gourmet specialty food boutique to fully experience hand-crafted delights.
The Rhinebeck Crafts Festival is a great day for the entire family! Entertain the kids with a variety of children’s activities including interactive puppet theater with Middle-earth Studios, face painting, balloon animals, stilt walkers and more! Visitors will also have the chance watch and participate in interactive craft demonstrations such as blacksmithing with Marsha Trattner; wheel-thrown pottery with Vicente Garcia; canoe carving Larry Benjamin; engraving and embossing Chong Lim; and leather working with Janice Stewart-Hibbard.
Show hours are Saturday, June 24 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, June 25 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. General admission is $10, seniors are $9, children 6-16 are $4 and children under 6 are free. Group rates are available. The Rhinebeck Crafts Festival is held at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds, located at 6550 Spring Brook Avenue (Route 9) in Rhinebeck, New York. There is free parking and the show is held indoors and under tents, rain or shine. Sorry, while we love our furry friends, no pets are allowing within the fairgrounds.

stART On The Street
One of my favorite shows of the year because I get to represent my city: Worcester! This is a fun day out for the whole family with activities for everyone. Eat delicious snacks from food trucks, listen to music, watch live performers, and visit booths of Makers from all over New England. Held annually on Park Ave. in Worcester MA, this is a festival not to be missed.
stART, an innovative arts celebration ‘on the street’ was the brainchild of an independent group of local artists and art lovers at it’s inception in 2002. stART on the Street is organized by a group of dedicated volunteers committed to changing the cultural scope of Worcester and Central Massachusetts. stART on the Street is the signature event; a day long arts, music, and cultural celebration on Park Avenue in Worcester, MA.
Initially held on Main Street in Worcester, the festival moved to Park Avenue in 2006, to overwhelming accolades and the largest attendance to date. The stART on the Street festival has hosted an increasing number of arts and crafts vendors each year, now over 300 as of September 2013, all demonstrating and selling their handcrafted items. Stages host a variety of live bands from rock & roll, alternative country, jazz, world music and more. Street performers entertain on the street level from Africa-Brazilian Capoeira demonstrations, a cappella groups, acoustic music, dance and many more genres of performance art. A Youth Activities area with local organizations hosting interactive art activities has been a popular attraction for families throughout the years.
